  • Let no one act as your judge in regard to [everyday things or celebrations] (Col. 2:16)
  • Let no one defraud you of your prize by delighting [insisting] in self-abasement and the worship of angels (Col. 2:18)





  • Do not submit yourself to legalistic commandments and teachings of men (Col. 2:20-22)
  • Keep seeking the things above where Christ is (Col. 3:1)
  • Set your mind on the things above, not on the things on the earth (Col. 3:2)


  • Put to death in your members immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire and greed (Col. 3:5)


  • Put aside anger, wrath, malice, slander and abusive speech (Col. 3:8)
  • Do not lie to one another (Col. 3:9)







  • Put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience (Col. 3:12)
  • Bear with one another (Col. 3:13)
  • Forgive one another as the Lord forgave you (Col. 3:13)
  • Put on love, the perfect bond of unity (Col. 3:14)
  • Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts (Col. 3:15)

    • In all things obey your masters with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord (Col. 3:22)
    • Do your work with all your heart as to the Lord rather than men (Col. 3:23)
    • Know you will receive the reward of God’s inheritance (Col. 3:24)
  • Masters: (Col. 4:1)
    • Grant to your slaves justice and fairness
    • Know you too have a Master in heaven
  • Devote yourself to prayer (Col. 4:2)
  • Keep alert in prayer (Col. 4:2)
  • Pray with an attitude of thanksgiving (Col. 4:2)
  • Regarding outsiders:
    • Conduct yourselves with wisdom towards them (Col. 4:5)
    • Make the most of every opportunity (Col. 4:5)
    • Let your speech always be with grace (Col. 4:6)
    • Know how you should respond to each person (Col. 4:6)
